What if you could spontaneously go on a trip… without having saved a penny? That is exactly what we are trying out.
We have set ourselves a crazy, slightly chaotic goal: €200 to raise for train tickets to Germany, just by asking strangers to contribute to our Potje. No sponsors, no backup plan—just a cardboard sign, a QR code, and a hefty dose of optimism.
We are literally standing on the street, near metro stations, with a homemade sign that says: “Help fund our trip – €1 = one step closer to Germany”. We wave at passersby, smile friendly, and occasionally trade a silly drawing for some change. Every euro counts, and every moment becomes part of our spontaneous travel experiment.
🎥 We are capturing everything in short videos—from the creative ways we raise money, to hopefully the moment we actually board the train. Think of eating ice cream in a charming German town (if we make it: hopefully Berlin!) and enjoying a cheap mini-adventure made possible by kindness and community.

Potje makes fundraising simple and fun
The best part? All donations come through Potje. People scan our QR code and go straight to our Potje payment page. Within five seconds you can contribute—no cash needed and you can see how much you have raised. Just a simple, transparent way to fundraise with a smile.
This initiative is not just about cheap travel, but about showing that saving for fun things doesn’t always have to be serious or slow. Make a Potje, set a goal, and get creative in how you reach it. Whether you skip lattes, sell old clothes, or stand on the street with a funny sign—raising money for a dream doesn’t have to feel out of reach.
Keep following us for updates—and if you spot us on the street: definitely say hi (and maybe you’ll donate a euro 😉)!
