Building financial stability
Building
financial stability
We work with local councils, foundations and support organisations to help participants in a social programme save money, manage their finances and work towards goals that matter to them. With Potje, financial support is provided securely through a dedicated savings pot, while social workers and support staff retain the oversight and control they need to do their work well.
More and more Dutch people are in debt
More and more Dutch people are in debt
Many (young) Dutch people unfortunately end up in financial difficulty. Unexpected bills, little or no savings, or simply no experience with managing money independently. Municipalities, foundations and social workers are increasingly looking for ways to provide targeted financial support, without small problems growing into long-term debt.

How does Potje handle this?
How does Potje handle this?
Potje offers organisations a safe and scalable way to provide direct financial support to (young) adults, with the right balance between freedom for the participant and oversight for the professional.
Safe funding with real freedom
The municipality or organisation deposits the financial support directly into the participant’s personal wallet. The participant can spend the money within the rules of the programme using the Potje VISA card, while the organisation retains visibility to make adjustments where necessary.

Greater impact, less administrative burden
A dedicated admin panel lets one social worker manage their entire caseload from a single place: tracking balances, adjusting limits, and stepping in when a participant needs support. Programmes can scale without the workload scaling alongside them.

Better outcomes on both sides
Participants receive practical tools via the Potje app to save, spend money responsibly and build skills, together with guidance from a social worker or coach. The organisation gets real-time insight and programme-configurable rules and limits.

How does it work?
How does it work?
Potje provides pots to your organisation, which you then assign to the participants in your programme.
The financial support is paid directly into the participant's pot. The participant manages the balance and a supervisor is linked to the pot to monitor progress and adjust where necessary.
The participant can then spend the money with the Potje VISA card, within the rules and limits set by the programme.
Behind the scenes, the social worker manages all the pots for their participants via a central management dashboard, with an overview in one place.

A Word From Our Clients
"For the project with SUN, I was able to register young adults from my caseload for a personal budget of €1.000 to strengthen their stability or development. Thanks to Potje, I was able to registered young people whom I had doubts about regarding their financial skills: I had insight into the budget and could therefore make clear agreemenets about how it would be spent."

During the Young Adults Project, i saw how we could really make.a difference for young adults in financially vulnerable situations with financial space, trust and tailored support. It was crucial for the young people to experience owndership and control over their own development. The Potje app played a very important role in this."
